Our family has loved the house that God provided for us when we moved to Anderson six years ago. I still remember our family looking at many houses and not having peace about any of them. Then an amazing thing happened. My sister put a message on Facebook that her brother was looking for a house. The next thing we knew, one friend told another and we found out that the house we are now in was about to be put on the market. I remember it like yesterday, when we walked in the front door Joanna began crying and exclaimed this is the one. It really was perfect for our family. With four children we were only hoping that we would be able to afford a five bedroom home. This was exactly what we needed: a master bedroom suite on the main floor, four bedrooms upstairs with two baths across the landing from each other, a decent size family room on the main floor, but also a bonus room that became a hangout for our teenagers and their friends. We set it up off of Caleb’s room and he quickly turned it into his “man cave.” He had his gaming system hooked up to a large television, there was a sofa and love seat, a computer desk, book shelves, and his exercise equipment. After three months he went off to college and the girls claimed that space as their own. Whenever he was home on weekends or when school was out, you can bet he again claimed this space as his own. Joanna has enjoyed our kitchen with plenty of cabinet space. Another nice feature is the many storage compartments. We have been pack rats through the years and enjoyed having a place to hide our stuff. The in-ground swimming pool has been an added blessing in that we weren’t looking for a house with a pool. Our kids especially have enjoyed it. We have hosted kids from the Wilds Christian Camp, society friends from college, BJU Bruins teams, and friends from church. Joanna and I both have enjoyed gardening and landscaping. This house has really been a home for us. We added hard wood floors and replaced carpet. We also added new counter tops and a tiled backsplash around the kitchen. Just recently we have painted, added a new pool pump, and in the next week we are going to be replacing the roof.
