February 2021 – Family Update

As we enter into the month of February, our family has been finally hit by COVID-19. Actually, we are fairly certain that we had it back in June, but I received a confirmed test on Tuesday morning. Joanna and Hannah are also feeling badly. Hannah had to be tested this morning and is waiting for the results. Fortunately, our symptoms are fairly mild. We have been sick, and it has not been fun, but we haven’t had the respiratory problems like some. Mostly, we have just had low-grade fevers, body aches, and tiredness. I have had a lot of congestion but in my sinuses, not lungs. My mom, Elaine Davis, who lives with us, seems to have avoided it so far, but she is starting with a dry cough today. I would appreciate your prayers for each of us, especially my mom.

This month’s update will bring you up to speed on just some of the focus of my work over the past few weeks. I also had to cancel my trip to Uruguay as their new restrictions are not allowing foreigners to enter the country. I was supposed to be leaving on Wednesday, February 3, for three weeks. I have Zoom conferences scheduled with our missionaries and other ministry leaders over the next several days. In addition to planning for the upcoming Good News 360 Conference mentioned in the Update, I am also busy putting together my calendar for future meetings and preparing training and promotional materials. Please also pray for us as the circumstances have greatly affected my travel and love offerings that have helped cover our financial needs. God is continuing to provide for us and for that we are grateful.

We are also excited to announce the birth of our grandson Callen James Davis, born on January 14, 8 lbs. 1 oz., 20.4 in. Joanna will be traveling to Salt Lake City in March to spend about three weeks with Caleb, Jamie, Dax, and Cal.

I have put together a brief newsletter that you may read below or download a pdf copy here.
