February 2025 – Family Update

Following a wonderful time over the holidays with our entire family, we hit the ground running in January.

  • It was good to spend some time with EMU missionaries to Uruguay, Matias and Kristine Espinel, before they returned to the field.
  • I had the privilege of speaking for Pastor Ken Casillas and the wonderful people at Cleveland Park Bible Church in Spartanburg on January 12, and then for Pastor David Robinette and the Park Avenue Baptist Church in Wilmington, NC.
  • Joanna accompanied me to Raleigh where we spent a few days working from my daughter Bethany’s house. It is always a joy to spend time with our grandchildren.
  • Early Monday morning, January 20, I flew from Raleigh to Tampa. I attended a Missions Summit at Community Baptist Church in Bradenton with about twenty other missionary leaders.
  • That evening we began the Arch Ministries Annual Fellowship Meeting. This is always a tremendous time of refreshment as I reconnect with pastor friends and have the privilege of introducing new pastors to the ministry of EMU.
  • My return flight, scheduled for Wednesday afternoon, was canceled. They immediately rebooked me for the next day, but I was able to get on the App and change my flight. Instead of flying to Greenville through Atlanta, I took a detour through New York City but was able to get home later that evening.
  • I also had a couple of great meetings with the Executive Committee and the Program Committee of the Fellowship of Missions. FOM is a group of about twenty like-minded mission agencies that unite together for encouragement, accountability, and ministry development.

  • It is wonderful to have a few Sundays finally to attend our home church. Joanna and I have enjoyed spending time with some of our church leaders.
  • It was great to connect with other pastors and ministry leaders at the Bob Jones University Seminary CORE Conference.
  • I have also been busy helping a few of our missionaries with their future schedules and ministry plans.
  • I have been swamped with preparation time trying to get ready for a very busy schedule. I would appreciate your prayers as I travel to Uruguay at the end of this month. I will be down there for seventeen days. I will speak seventeen times.
  • I then will return home for about four days before I will be in a missions conference in Michigan to keynote their conference. I am excited about the opportunities God has given me, and really look forward to preaching on “Your Missionary Family,” but it is going to be non-stop for me for the next few months. Check out this link to the notes that I have prepared for the conference in Michigan. You can view this on your tablet or your phone, but it is best viewed on a PC. Click the right arrow to turn the pages. I will be preaching some of the same things in Uruguay, but I am also adding some missionary biographies and a few other practical messages.

Joanna and I want to thank each of our ministry partners who make it possible for us to serve the Lord with EMU International. We could not do this without you.

We are in need of adding additional monthly financial support. Please pray about partnering with us financially. For more information, contact me at  jeff@emuinternational.org or click here to give today.

I am currently planning my calendar for 2025. In addition to traveling and visiting the EMU International missionaries on their various fields of service, I have had the privilege of preaching in Christian School chapels, Pastors’ Fellowships, at Christian Camps, Missions Conferences, Revival Meetings, and Family Conferences. I am also available for single meetings to promote the work of EMU International. I would love the privilege of visiting your church and sharing how God is using the ministry of EMU International around the world. If you are interested in me visiting your church, please email me at jeff@emuinternational.org.
