I’ve always been drawn to creative things. I remember consistently getting those huge art supply kits for Christmas and birthdays. I remember scrapbooking and painting canvases for fun. It wasn’t until college that I discovered a new creative outlet. I graduated with a degree in Journalism & Mass Communication in May of 2017, and I really think that was just the beginning of my education in the wide world of media. That’s where I realized I was passionate about telling stories through video.
Due to a recent summer job that required camera skills, I realized how awesome it is to tell stories through photography too. Back then it was more event photography. I had the task of capturing children at summer camp and telling the story of the week through videos. Then, my husband and I moved to Raleigh, NC, where I get to create photo and video content for the website and social media accounts of a Christian school. I’ve really just been given amazing opportunities, and those opportunities have led me to discover this love of photography + videography. I’m most fulfilled in work when I’m telling stories from behind the camera, and I can’t wait to tell yours!
