Pray for the Men who Serve with EMU International

As we begin this month of June, I am sitting in an airport terminal at LaGuardia International in New York City. I am with five Uruguayan missionaries, Pedro Donze, his wife Patricia, and their seventeen-year-old son Maxi, along with Carlos and Beatriz Silvera. We are beginning week three of their five-week trip to visit the USA. We have been going non-stop for the past two weeks. We were talking this morning about how much we have packed into each day. I look forward to sharing with you in next month’s newsletter an article that will tell of the many ways God has blessed us on this trip. Our travels over these five weeks have us connecting with partners and ministering in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, New York, Kansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee. Maxi will attend camp at the Wilds on June 12-17. We will be back in Greenville for a couple of days on June 13 and 14. Follow along with us by visiting my Facebook page: https://facebook.com/pastorjd.  Please pray for us that God will continue to grant traveling mercies and provide for our needs over the next three weeks.

This month as we celebrate Father’s Day, I find myself again praising God for my father, and the other godly men who have influenced my life. As I thanked God this morning for the influence of my father and my grandfathers, and my wife’s father and grandfathers, my mind turned to all the men who are a part of our EMU team.  As we pray, don’t just make the missionary the focus of your prayer, but God the Father, in that He would be glorified through our missionaries’ lives and service (1 Corinthians 3:5-7). Also pray that Jesus would be their continual focus as they lay a foundation for gospel advance (1 Corinthians 3:11).

Laborers together,
