This month’s Update opens with a reflection on waiting—how April’s unusual drought in Greenville became a reminder that God often works beneath the surface long before we see visible fruit. Like the Asian bamboo that spends years building unseen roots, ministry requires faithful planting and watering while trusting God to give the increase in His time.
This month’s update also includes:
- A look back at April’s ministry in Mexico, where I preached in six churches and spent meaningful time with national pastors.
- A preview of the May EMU International Newsletter, featuring missionary mothers, cross‑cultural collaboration (Part 2), and training nationals in Mongolia.
- Several ministry opportunities at home, including the Together for Missions meeting and the annual EMU Board of Directors gathering.
- A few unexpected challenges—identity theft, a failed water heater, and ongoing home repairs—that became fresh reminders of God’s sustaining peace.
- A special prayer request for our four‑year‑old granddaughter Khloe, who began IV infusion treatments for severe juvenile arthritis.

I am currently planning my 2026 calendar. You can view my schedule here: pastorjeffdavis.com/schedule. I would love the privilege of visiting your church and sharing how God is using EMU International to strengthen national leaders and advance the Gospel across the lands. To schedule a visit, email me at jeff@emuinternational.org.
We are also praying for additional monthly financial partners. Would you consider joining our team? Your support helps us plant, water, and trust God for the increase. For more information, contact me at jeff@emuinternational.org or click here to give today.
